UGIS is a specialist underwriting agency delivering targeted products exclusively to the UK broker insurance market.
Established in 2000, UGIS required a rebrand to align with promoting their company and the launch of their new broker platform ‘Vibrant’ at the BIBA 2024 conference.
Challenge

UGIS’s vision is to be an underwriting powerhouse for small to mid-sized brokers, by making complex underwriting simple and accessible. To achieve this, they have built a highly effective proprietary broker platform called ’Vibrant’. This benchmark platform positions UGIS at the forefront of the underwriting market for SME brokers, by providing a fast, flexible, end-to-end insurance service.

Our challenge was to capture their unique brand proposition, character and positioning, for UGIS to deliver it across a brand ecosystem with messaging, sub-brands, web, video, collateral, campaign comms and an exhibition stand, to promote their new Vibrant product in a short space of time.

Fortunately for us, the UGIS team were incredibly responsive and very invested in the brand process, which always helps with tight production timelines and importantly to achieve great results.






Solution

Our brand solution focused on a positioning of ‘traditional values, digitally driven’, creating an accessible brand world that reflected the friendly relationship-led business of UGIS, coupled with the simplicity and efficiency of the digital service provided through ‘Vibrant’. The brand is bold, confident and memorable to maximise impact and to support the ambition that UGIS has for its company, digital platform and its broker client base.

The underlined ‘U’ highlights their underwriting capabilities and introduces a visual brand language that can be both corporate professional and designer playful. This brand language provides great flexibility for future roll out across all branded marketing comms touchpoints. This is of course supported equally by simple, confident, playful and accessible messaging options. The brand language creates a stand-out brand, setting UGIS apart from their B2B insurance firm peers.

With these robust brand foundations in place, UGIS are now in a great position to promote their unique broker portal Vibrant, whose sub-brand reflects the UGIS brand language.

Vibrant empowers brokers to confidently serve their clients 24/7 and is designed for simplicity and responsiveness.

The portal provides a seamless service enabling brokers to provide insurance protection from quotation right through to instruction, in quick simple steps, with all the required documentation and certificates produced instantly.

It provides a range of products for clients to choose from and with a suite of comprehensive management tools for the broker to keep them informed and updated instantaneously.
